Birth Support Doula: About Lyndsay Doyle

About Me

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for learning about pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and infant care. Growing up in a small conservative community where babies were frequently born, I listened intently to every birth story I encountered, often while holding those babies.

Through this exposure, I learned about various types of childbirth and my interest only deepened. One key takeaway from all these stories was the importance of having strong pregnancy and labour support. Women need someone by their side to help them make the best choices for themselves and their babies during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

My dream is to assist women in advocating for themselves, planning, and preparing for the childbirth experience they desire—whether it's a c-section, homebirth, or medicated hospital birth. Every birth is unique, and each person deserves the kind of care and attention that only a doula can offer.

I grew up in a rural community in Northwestern Ohio, USA, as the oldest of three children. My mother often shares that my love for caring for babies began at a very young age. I have lived in various parts of the USA, Germany, and now in the Midlands of Ireland, which I proudly call home. This lovely rural community holds a special place in my heart.

As a housewife, cat mum, doula, avid reader, and gardener, I have a particular interest in cloth diapering, baby wearing, and breastfeeding. I am more than happy to help you figure out a cloth diaper system that works for you—it's easier than you might think!

In late 2025, I began my doula training with an amazing teacher in Dublin. This childbirth education program has equipped me with special skills to support mothers and their partners through this incredible journey. By the end of 2026, I will complete my assessment and be officially recognized. Until then, I can attend births and work with both antenatal and postpartum clients. If you are interested in working with me for pregnancy support, please do not hesitate to reach out.
